Bokunji

Bokunji of Kozanzan mountain is an ancient Soto Zen temple nestled quietly in the village of Yokose in Chichibu, Saitama. As the sixth station of the Chichibu Pilgrimage of thirty-four Kannon temples, generations of pilgrims have made their way here across the centuries. The principal image is Nyoirin Kannon, and the prayers of countless devotees have been received in this mountain sanctuary. Supported by the sincere faith of the local community, the temple Dharma lamp continues to shine.
