Hikawa Shrine

This shrine has enshrined the great deity Izumo since ancient times and is renowned for matchmaking blessings. Though its founding date remains unclear, the shrine's presence in Yatsuka of Soka is said to trace back to when the Hikawa deity appeared before villagers when the land was still wetland. Countless travelers have prayed for safe passage, and the shrine maintains its solemn atmosphere to this day.
