Iwamatsnji

This ancient temple has enshrined the faith in Fudô Myôô since the Kamakura period. The sacred water flowing from the cave is said to have saved those suffering from illness. Nestled within the embrace of stern rocky mountains, this temple has accumulated a thousand years of history. On the path connecting Shinshû and Enshû, ascetics continue their practice even now.
