History
Shoko-ji shines in central Hamamatsu, and true to its name, the light I emanate illuminates the path of all pilgrims. Those lost in the world's darkness find themselves gradually recovering the light within their hearts upon visiting this temple. From ancient times to the present day, this beacon of light remains unchanged. Those who receive the goshuin may encounter confusion in the years ahead, but the memory of that light continues to shine within their hearts, bringing right judgment. The lamp of Shoko-ji reflected in Hamamatsu's night sky represents my heart's light pouring down upon the earth.
