Harakiyama Myogyoji is a temple of the Nichiren sect lineage (independent affiliated) located in Haraki, Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture. Its principal images are the Jukai Mandala and a statue of Nichiren. The temple is home to a revered statue of Nichiren said to have appeared miraculously through fire, and is also celebrated for its weeping cherry blossoms. Its former head temple was Nakayama Hokekyoji. Rooted in the teachings of the Lotus Sutra, Myogyoji has maintained its sacred flame of Dharma to this day, sustained by the devoted faith of its parishioners.
