This Shinfukuji is a historic Shingon Buddhist temple said to have been founded in the Kamakura period. It is said to have been founded by Dengyo Daishi Saicho and has long gathered the faith of people. Its principal image is Fudo Myoo, whose powerful figure attracts the hearts of visitors. The precincts are rich in greenery and enveloped in a tranquil atmosphere. In particular, the old five-storied pagoda behind the main hall seems to tell the depth of the temple's history. It is said to grant wishes such as family safety, business prosperity, and good luck and warding off evil, and many worshippers, including local residents, visit. Prayers unchanged since ancient times still live on in this land.
