Asadatera, formally known as Kofukuzan Enmyoin Asadatera, is an ancient temple of the Tendai Enryakuji sect located in Asada-cho, Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture. Affectionately known locally as Asada no Jizo-san, the temple principal image is Jizo Bosatsu, the compassionate bodhisattva who has long relieved the suffering of many.
