History
Myōten-ji is a charming temple quietly nestled in Koshigoe, the ancient capital of Kamakura. When I visited, a gentle atmosphere flowed. This temple has long been known as a place for matchmaking, conception, and prayers for safe childbirth. The precincts, enveloped in silence, have an atmosphere that evokes history and calms the hearts of visitors. The principal image of Buddha is said to be compassionate and to listen to people's wishes. I also cleanse my mind for a while in this quiet space. It is a charming temple where one can spend peaceful time.
