Kotohira Jinja is a shrine in Asao Ward, Kawasaki, founded through the bestowal of Kanaayahime from Kotohira-gu in Sanuki. When Kotohira faith, which became known as "Konpira-sama" during the Edo period, spread throughout the nation, this shrine was established in this area. Located in a residential neighborhood, it has been cherished as an intimate place of worship for local people. Though small, its refreshing grounds are appreciated as a place to calm one's mind amid daily life. The warm atmosphere of this shrine brings a sense of peace and community.

御朱印の授与所は儀式殿(道路を挟んで本殿の向かい側)に向かって左手にあります。宮司直筆の干支絵入り御朱印など複数種類があります。

本殿手前の手水鉢は4体の山伏像(通称「がまんさん」)が支える造りで、境内奥の福寿稲荷は竹林に囲まれた静かな空間です。銭洗弁財天では池の水でお金を洗う風習があります。

境内に第一〜第三駐車場が整備されており、参拝者は無料で利用できます。七五三・初詣シーズンは混雑しますが、警備員による誘導が行われます。

最寄りは小田急線「柿生駅」南口で、東急バス「柿01」「柿02」または川崎市営バス「溝17」に乗り「琴平下」バス停で下車すぐです。徒歩だと30分以上かかるため、バス利用を推奨します。
