History

Byakko

What I shall tell you is about this Goryo Jinja. In ancient times, when an epidemic spread in this land, it is said that people prayed to five deities, and the disaster subsided. Therefore, it was named Goryo Jinja, and since then, it has been deeply worshipped as a deity for warding off epidemics and evil. Although the shrine buildings are relatively new, their history is old, and they have been cherished as a spiritual anchor for the local people. The precincts are modest but filled with a refreshing atmosphere. It is also said to bring blessings for safe childbirth and family safety, attracting many worshippers. The prayers of the people, passed down through the ages, still live on in this land.
