History

Atago Jinja is enshrined in Mukoyama, Taihaku Ward, Sendai, and has been revered since ancient times as a shrine dedicated to the deity of fire prevention. It enshrines Atago Gongen and is known for its divine virtues in protection from fire and various calamities.
