History

Byakko

The Hachidai Ryuou Shrine, enshrined at Kongosho-ji, has long been revered as the dragon god bringing rain and protecting agriculture. From this shrine atop Mount Asama, the dragon's wish ascending to heaven moistens all people under heaven. In my eyes, I see the dragon's sacred form connecting heaven and earth, and I marvel at the depth of its power.
