Kobire Shrine

Kobiminekata Shrine, located in Shindachi, Soma-gun, Fukushima Prefecture, is an ancient shikinaisha listed in the Engishiki with the prestigious designation of Myojin Taisha. Its former social rank was gōsha. The shrine is revered as a guardian of agriculture and fisheries by the people of northern Hamadori. Having survived the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, the shrine continues to stand as a spiritual anchor for the local community.
