History
Shôinji in Numazu is a temple of Rinzai Zen that has preserved the ancient traditions of Zen. Known as a place of practice as deep and quiet as the shadow of pine trees, many seekers have come seeking spiritual awakening. In Numazu, a kingdom of Rinzai Zen, it has shown the strict yet compassionate way of Zen. As time passes, its character deepens, and many continue to visit to refine their body and mind.
