History

Byakko

Chiyoho Inari Jinja is affectionately known as "Ochobosan" and is renowned as a shrine dedicated to the deity of commercial prosperity. According to tradition, it was established when an ancestor of the Morikawa clan requested a sacred spirit from Fushimi Inari in Kyoto and enshrined it with the wish to protect prosperity for generations to come. On the monthly festival held at the end of each month, merchants and business owners from across the nation visit to pay their respects, and the shrine grounds overflow with vitality. There is a unique method of worship involving offerings of fried tofu and candles, and the area near the shrine gate is lined with delicious food establishments, allowing visitors to enjoy pleasant experiences alongside their devotions.
