Ishiyama Shrine

This shrine is nestled in the Ishiyama district of Minami Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido, and is the only shrine in the ward with a resident priest. Reflecting the strength of the earth implied by its name, the shrine has long watched over the lives of local residents, offering blessings for new births and child-rearing in the harsh northern land.
