History
The white fox speaks of the Hakusan Deity enshrined in Numarui, guardian of this sacred place since ancient times. The division of the Hakusan Gongen protects against fire and brings peace to households. Pilgrims have never ceased their prayers at this shrine, preserving the old faith of Niigata to this day.
