History

Byakko

Tottori Toshogu enshrines Tokugawa Ieyasu as its principal deity, along with four generations of the Ikeda clan who governed the Inaba domain. Founded during the Edo period as Inaba Toshogu, it was renamed Uchidani Shrine in 1874 before reverting to its current name in 2011. Four structures — the main hall, worship hall, offering hall, and Chinese-style gate — are designated as national Important Cultural Properties.
