History
Daisenji is a temple built on the slopes of Daisen, a sacred site of mountain Buddhism. It has long flourished as a training hall for Shugendō, where many ascetic monks accumulated rigorous practice. Buddhist teachings became deeply rooted in this temple within the mystical natural environment of Daisen. Throughout the seasons, it is embraced by beautiful nature, and especially during autumn foliage, it displays breathtaking beauty. In the solemn atmosphere of the mountain, this is a special place where one can purify the heart and offer prayers with intention.
