Gokurakuzan Jodoji

Gokurakuzan Jodoji, an ancient temple standing by Otaru's shore. Rooted in Zenibako, though it has weathered centuries of snow and wind, its brilliance has never diminished. For years I have meditated before this sanctuary. The great compassion flowing from the Buddha's body envelops this sacred place. The prayers of those seeking the path to the next world eternally fill this temple.
