History
Nagataki Hakusan Jinja is a sacred site that has long been revered as a central shrine of Hakusan faith. A precious shrine that tells the history of Hakusan mountain worship and the syncretic fusion of Shinto and Buddhism, it also flourished as a base for the Shugendo ascetic tradition. Within the grounds stands a worship hall designated as an Important Cultural Property, whose solemn presence purifies the hearts of all who visit. Protected by the clear waters of Hakusan and the blessings of the mountain, it has gathered the faith of countless people since ancient times. Through the power of the mountain deity, it bestows a purified spirit and strong vitality.
