Chinkaiishi Hachiman Guu is enshrined in Fukae, Itoshima, and holds ancient traditions related to Empress Jingu and Emperor Ojin. When Empress Jingu gave birth to Emperor Ojin, a sacred stone called the "Chinkaiishi" that was used to calm her pregnancy is enshrined as the sacred object, and the shrine is widely known as the deity of safe childbirth. Located in a beautiful setting overlooking Genkai Sound, this is a prestigious shrine that has received devoted reverence from the imperial court and warrior clans since ancient times. The sacred site is enveloped by warm divine blessings as people from throughout the nation visit to pray for the bond between mother and child and the prosperity of the family.
