Okinohata Suitengu is a shrine located in Inacho, Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture. It is said to have been founded in 1818 by the Tachibana clan, lords of the Yanagawa domain. The enshrined deities include Emperor Antoku, Kenreimon-in, Nii-no-Ama, and Amenominakanushi-no-Kami, and the shrine has long been venerated for protection from drowning and safe navigation at sea. Rooted in the waterway-laced landscape of Yanagawa, it has gathered the faith of those engaged in fishing and agriculture. A grand annual festival is held each May, drawing many worshippers.
