Shiwahiko Jinja is an ancient shrine that shares its grounds with the renowned Shiogama Jinja, the First Rank Shrine of Mutsu Province. It enshrines the Great Deity Shiwahiko and has long been revered as a guardian deity of agriculture and industry. Though relocated to its present location during the Meiji period, its history is ancient, and it has progressed alongside the industrial development of the Tōhoku region. It is said that visiting both shrines together brings enhanced divine blessings, and it is a sacred site blessed with spiritual power that draws many visitors.
