History
Tsumayoro Jinja is a shrine of historical standing that has long been enshrined in the Tsuma district of Saito. The beautiful name 'Tsumayoro' was given with the meaning of bringing benefits in all things. This location, close to the Saito Kofun group, has been regarded as sacred since ancient times. As the tutelary kami of the local community, it has warmly watched over the lives of the people rooted in this land for generations. In this region where agriculture flourishes, it is especially revered as the kami of prayers for abundant harvests, and has become a spiritual pillar for the people.
