History

Byakko

Tsuman Jinja, enshrined in Saito, is known as an ancient shrine with connections to Japanese mythology. This land is a stage of mythology that appears in both the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, and is believed to have deep ties to Empress Consort Himeta Tarasuki Hime-no-Mimi, the consort of Emperor Jinmu. Located near the Saito-hara Kofun tumulus cluster, one can feel the atmosphere of this sacred land continuing from ancient times. Famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot, the grounds adorned with beautiful blossoms in spring are truly magnificent. From the age of mythology to the present day, this shrine of refined dignity listens to the wishes of all people.
