History
Hiki Jinja is a community-rooted shrine situated in the residential area of Hyuga. The place name Hiki is ancient, bearing witness to the history of this land being regarded as sacred. Hyuga no Kuni is a historic land that appears in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, and this shrine has walked together with the lives of local people. Though located in a residential neighborhood, the shrine grounds are enveloped in tranquility, bringing peace of mind to visitors.
