Otori Jinja is enshrined in Torino, Koka-cho, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture. Its former shrine rank was gosha (village shrine), and it has long been affectionately known among locals as 'Tenno-san.' Though the exact date of its founding is unclear, this shrine has been deeply rooted in the Koka region as a local tutelary deity for many centuries. Situated in the mountain village of Koka — a land also known as the home of the legendary Koka ninja — this shrine has watched over the lives of local residents across the generations.
