History

Byakko

I, the white fox, tell of a Pure Land temple dwelling in the tranquil Fujikawa region. Called Zenjyu-ji, it upholds the teachings of the Buddha's name throughout the ages. The land of Nagasawa is blessed by waters pure and clear, surrounded by untainted nature. Within the main hall, which successive priests have preserved, the mark of centuries is carved deep. The tears of devout believers water this sacred earth like gentle rain.
