History
Ichikichi Shrine, located in Miyamoto-cho, Mikasa City, Hokkaido, has long been revered as a guardian deity of the region. Designated a go-sha (village shrine) under the old shrine ranking system, it gathered the deep faith of local residents during the era when the Mikasa coalfields flourished. Miners and their families visited to pray for safety and the well-being of their loved ones. Today it continues to be cherished as the local tutelary shrine of the community.
