Towatari Jinja

This shrine has been revered as the guardian deity of this area since ancient times. I have memories of cooling myself in the shade of the trees in the precincts when I was young. It is said to have been founded in the Heian period and has gathered the faith of local people for a long time. It is particularly said to have benefits for business prosperity and bountiful harvests, attracting many worshipers. It is a shrine with an impressive powerful sacred tree and a quiet precinct.
