Eishouji is an ancient Soto Zen Buddhist temple located in Yamamoto-machi Toyoda, Kurume City, Fukushima Prefecture. Its mountain name is Ryuzakasan, and it is affectionately known as the "Momiji-dera" (Temple of Autumn Leaves). Counted as one of Japan's Three Great Yakushi (Medicine Buddha) temples, it draws pilgrims from distant places seeking the blessings of Yakushi Nyorai. The autumn foliage that colors the temple grounds is of exceptional beauty, quietly filling the hearts of all who visit. Nestled amid the pure mountain air, this temple has long been a spiritual support for the people of the region.
