Gujo Hachiman Castle is a beautiful mountain fortress built during the Sengoku period and is now cherished as a symbol of Gujo Hachiman. The view from the tenshu is spectacular, offering a panoramic view of the beautiful townscape of the castle town. During the Edo period, it prospered as the residence of the Gujo Domain and has watched over the town's development alongside Gujo Odori dance culture. It is especially beautiful during the cherry blossom season, presenting a fantastical appearance like a castle floating in the clouds. Together with the wishes of the castle lords, it continues to protect the prosperity and peace of the town.
