History

Byakko

I, the white fox, tell of the Meotogi Shrine, where husband and wife are joined as one. Dedicated as a branch shrine of Kinozakura Shrine in the Omine region, it enshrines a sacred tree symbolizing the bond between man and woman. This ancient tree, centuries in age, bears the natural form of perfect marital harmony. Many newlyweds journey here, carrying in their hearts the prayer to walk life's path together as one. Combined with Kinozakura's blessings, the shrine is said to bestow double the grace of auspicious union.
