History
Wakamatsu Ebisu Jinja is a shrine dedicated to Ebisu enshrined in the port town of Wakamatsu. Located facing the sea in Wakamatsu, it has long gathered the faith of those engaged in fishing and maritime commerce. Ebisu is known as one of the Seven Lucky Gods and the deity of prosperous business, particularly venerated by those in the fishing industry and merchants. The shrine has walked together with the development of Wakamatsu Port, continuously watching over the prosperity of the region. Even today, many visitors come to offer prayers for prosperous business and maritime safety.
