History
Tosa Jinja is the principal shrine of Tosa Province, enshrined in the Ichinomiya district of Kochi and has been revered since ancient times. Its history is old, enshrining the deities who developed the land of Tosa and has walked together with the development of this region as a shrine of distinguished lineage. Affectionately known as "Shinane-sama," it holds a special place in the hearts of the people of Tosa.
