Yamanashi-ken Gokoku Jinja is a shrine honoring the spirits of those who gave their precious lives for their homeland. The souls of those from Yamanashi Prefecture who died in wars since the Meiji era rest peacefully here. It is a solemn holy place where visitors come to pay their respects with prayers for peace and hearts full of gratitude. It is also known as a noted cherry blossom viewing spot, and in spring beautiful flowers bloom in abundance, reminding us anew of the value of peace. It is also a place where, together with gratitude to the war dead, one prays for the safety of one's family.
