History
Sapporo Fushimi Inari Jinja is a shrine founded by receiving the separated spirit from the Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto. Located in Fushimi at the center of Sapporo, it is beloved by many people for the blessings of the Inari kami regarding business prosperity and abundant harvest. The precincts with their beautifully arranged vermillion torii gates evoke the atmosphere of the original Fushimi Inari. Despite being in the city, it creates a mystical space. From merchants to ordinary worshippers, people with various wishes visit and receive the warm protection of Ojizo-sama, making it an especially popular shrine in Sapporo.
