History
An Itsukushima Shrine standing in Kawaguchi, Teshio, enshrining the goddess brought from distant Miyajima. Her spirit binds the sea and people of this land together. Fishermen pray each morning and night beneath the heavens, while women seek the goddess's protection. With the flow of the Teshio River, the goddess's spirit eternally protects these people and brings fishing prosperity.
