Sekiyakushiji Temple, formally known as Takatomiyama Rurikoin, is a Toji Shingon sect Buddhist temple in Suzuka, Mie. Its founding in 726 CE is attributed to the monk Taicho, who perceived a divine manifestation of the Medicine Buddha in a large boulder and established a hermitage. In 812, Kukai (Kobo Daishi) carved an image of Yakushi Nyorai into the stone and performed a consecration ceremony, after which Emperor Saga designated the temple an imperial vow temple. Destroyed by fire during the Tensho era, it was rebuilt in 1629 by Kazunagi Ichiryu, lord of Kobe Castle.
