Sogen-ji

Sogen-ji is an ancient temple surrounded by silence, located in Tensho-ji-cho in the temple town of Hida Takayama. In one corner of Takayama's temple district, it has long served as a spiritual support for the people of the community. Amidst the harsh nature of Hida, it has continued to preserve the teachings of Buddha passed down through generations.
