History
Suehiro Jinja is a shrine that has walked alongside the development of the Suehiro district in Asahikawa. Befitting its auspicious place name "Suehiro-gari" (spreading to the end), it was founded to pray for regional prosperity and people's happiness. Located in Asahikawa's city center yet enveloped in tranquility, the precincts make one forget the city's hustle and bustle. Beloved by many families as the regional tutelary kami, at festival times lively voices echo throughout the precincts. True to its name, it is a shrine full of hope, praying that visitors' futures will spread and develop.
