Shide Shrine is located in Oyamacho, Hatsu district, Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, built on ancient burial mound grounds. Its crest features the distinguished sixteen-petal chrysanthemum. During the Edo period, it served as the guardian shrine of Yokkaichi-juku post town, gathering devoted worship from travelers along the Tokaido highway. Many pilgrims on their way to Ise Shrine offered prayers for safe passage and gave thanks upon their return. Listed as a village shrine under the modern shrine ranking system, it remains deeply rooted in the lives of local residents today.
