This is Kamikawa Jinja, which protects the land of Asahikawa. It has a history of being enshrined as a development deity during the Meiji era. Enshrined on a high ground of Kaguraoka, it continues to watch over the city of Asahikawa. This shrine witnessed the hardships of pioneers and has supported the development of this land. Surrounded by beautiful nature throughout the seasons, particularly cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage soothe the hearts of visitors. Beloved by the community, it has become a spiritual pillar of Asahikawa.
