Futsukaichi Hachiman-gu is enshrined in the central part of Futsukaichi, Chikushino City. Futsukaichi flourished since ancient times as the gateway to Dazaifu and was a vital transportation hub where many people came and went. Enshrining Emperor Ojin as Hachiman, it has been revered as the god of martial fortune and victory in contests. This area is also known as a hot spring destination, and those who came for hot spring treatments would also visit Hachiman to pray for good health. Located in the center of the community, it remains a familiar and beloved shrine closely connected to the lives of all residents.
