Sennyoji Daihi Oin is an ancient temple nestled on Raiyama, the sacred peak of Itoshima. It is said to have been founded by the priest Seiga during the Nara period, and the principal image of the thousand-armed Kannon Bodhisattva is carefully preserved as a nationally designated important cultural property. The grounds, enveloped in the nature of Raiyama, are truly a spiritual domain filled with sacred energy. Particularly famous is the great maple tree with over 400 years of age, which displays magnificent autumn colors. Also known for its benefits of matchmaking and fulfillment of heart's wishes, it attracts many worshippers. It is a sacred place where one can cleanse the heart while embraced by the compassion of Kannon in the mountain's silence.
