History

Hanaoka Hachiman Jinja is a representative Hachiman shrine enshrined in Sueyukikamichō, Shimomatsu City. Enshrining Emperor Ojin, known as the deity of martial fortune, it has long gathered the devoted faith of both warriors and commoners alike. True to its beautiful name of Hanaoka, the grounds are adorned with flowers in each season, bringing peace to the hearts of visitors. As the local guardian deity, this warm Hachiman shrine has received the various wishes of the people, from the growth of children to the prosperity of family enterprises.
