Nakashibetsu Jinja is a shrine located in Nakashibetsu Town, Shibetsu District, Hokkaido. Its former social rank was mukakusha (unranked). The shrine was established as a spiritual home for settlers who came to this vast northern land after the Meiji-era development of Hokkaido. It has long watched over the daily peace and prosperity of those who built their lives on the frontier, quietly receiving the prayers of those who know the hardships of pioneering.
