Kamiteine Jinja

Kamiteine Jinja is enshrined on a wooded hillside at the western end of Nishino in Nishi Ward, Sapporo. Nestled quietly at the end of Yamanote-dori, the shrine retains the atmosphere of the late Showa era despite rapid land development around it since 1975, including the creation of Miyagaoka Park and the Kitaichijo-Miyanosawa-dori road. The main hall is built in the shinmei-zukuri style, reflecting the shrine's dignified simplicity. Long revered by local residents, it continues to welcome worshippers today.
