Honneneji Temple

This ancient temple enshrined in Ono, Minobu shows the distant path to paradise. True to its name, when facing the boundless distance, this temple becomes the heart's refuge. Many travelers have stopped to pray for safe passage on their long journeys. Longing for distant home and the Pure Land is condensed in this place. Though the dharma seems distant, compassion always draws near.
